Old Age Begins At 27:Easy and inexpensive steps to staying young

By William Wong N.D., Ph.D. and Vanida Somphon

Aging. It sneaks up on us. In our 20's, the years seem to stretch far into the distance. Then you're 27. The years fly by. And alarmingly, our bodies are not responding as they did before. The reason is simple. Old age begins at 27! And by the time we turn 35, we undergo the most precipitous drop in the internal and physical condition of our life!

With recent attention and research focusing on anti-aging, health professionals have ignored ground-breaking work that already existed on the subject for the past 50 years! This research was by Max Wolf of Columbia University. Dr. Wolf was an M.D. and a professor of medicine who held seven Ph.D.'s. He also wrote the first medical book on hormones. In his study, Dr. Wolf made an important discovery about enzymes and how they affect aging.

Enzymes are substances that speed up chemical reactions. There are about 3,000 of them in our body. They help control inflammation, speed tissue healing and regeneration, aid immune function and clean our blood. According to Dr. Wolf, around age 27, our enzyme production becomes seriously depleted. Because of this, we experience a serious decline in strength, recovery and ability. In other words, aging!

Aging happens in three stages. The first stage was just mentioned. In the second stage, when you hit age 35, your sexual hormones and a major brain chemical, dopamine, drop their production. Then in the third stage, after you turn 45, your body starts losing its ability to absorb nutrients.
